Democrat's Standards of Justice
Eight Democrats running for three nominations to be judges in Philadelphia's Traffic Court owe parking fines, and three of those owe over $1,000 apiece. I guess they hope to win so that they can dismiss their own fines.

We impose too many laws and even educated people have trouble following the rules. Let's make life simpler, and start by reducing the number of traffic regulations so we can spend less time in front of traffic court judges.

Yeah, that rule about paying your parking fines is really, really complicated.

I'm all for eliminating a whole bunch of useless laws, but... As long as they are laws, they need to be obeyed or penalties have to be faced.
The idea of making judges of people who already believe they are above the law is ludicrous!

Candidates count on voters being stupid. It takes sheer gall to run for judge of the same court which one holds in such contempt so as to refuse paying its assessed fines.
