Hillary Rides To The Rescue!

Obama shows up in Selma to comemorate the civil rights movement. Not satisfied with her attempt to get Obama for the defection of David Geffen, Hillary shows up with a faux Southern accent. In fact, Hillary is in a dither because of Obamas entry into the fray!

Then comes along Don Imus with his trash talk calling the Rutgers ladies basketball team "...nappy headed ho's." Now, I don't know about you, but I find that comment offensive on a number of levels, not the least of which is as a father. I can only imagine what those young ladies (and their speaking up show that they are classy young ladies indeed) fathers must have felt; as a dad myself I would have wanted to punch Imus in the nose just to hear the "splat."

Obama was somewhat delayed in his condemnation of Imus and his mouth, but still faster than Hillary:

Her Democratic presidential rival, Barack Obama, was faster out of the gate, with this to say on Monday: “The comments of Don Imus were divisive, hurtful and offensive to Americans of all backgrounds. With a public platform, comes a trust. As far as I’m concerned, he violated that trust.”

But old Hillary may have gone one better, with a bit of pandering that is not to be believed. Oh Hillary, have you no shame at all?

None? Not a shred? Zero, zip, zilch, nada?

She'll grub for votes anyway she can.

It's funny (ironic). I was upset with Imus' comments because of his lack of appreciation for the years of hard work and dedication that it takes to play a sport at that level. The race issue didn't enter my mind. But, I'm naive like that.

The feeding frenzy has gotten totally out of control. Sharpton and Jackson are hypocrits of the first order. Obama, Hillary and the other politicians pander at every opportunity.

Imus's comments were a bad joke but the reaction is worse.

Frequently it seems that everything goes and anything goes IF you are a minority. (We all know Sharpton and "Hymie" Jackson's words) HEAVEN FORBID - IF you are a person of European decent and want to "kick back" and relax as you speak! Racism flows from both sides while it's controlled by PC.

YET - I do understand the outrage also. I'm a female - male chauvinist and wish people would wait to have children after being married and then stay home with them if they make the choice to have these blessings. Children are/should be real life dedications. It's been proven that income from unprofessional, working mothers often runs into the negative - costing the family instead of the intended assist. MOTHERS can "play" at a career and my money stuff afterwards; knock their socks off. We'd have more morals, security and guidance for our nation's future. - BUT - ALL women DO NOT want to be mothers or even be married - Many women have fought for decades to be able to perform where only men performed previously. Remember what happened to Rush and his remarks on MALE football players, not only toward women CAN be a sign of buried racism. Even with the remarks of Imus - WOMEN (though negative) were/are finally getting an audience. THEN to immediately have them torn apart for doing so seems a little over the etiquette lines on so many levels.

Hillary? It was funny watching her street comments. Just blanket, non-committal stuff that everyone already knew! Unlike McCain taking a stand, Hillary didn't commit for or against Imus, the person - Guess she was waiting for the "sky to fall" first - how the politics were landing! Then to see this "over-kill" - Yep - Typical Hillary.

I haven't left any comments at blog posts where this Imus thing is being discussed because I didn't know what the heck it was he was supposed to have said. (Kinda been out of the loop lately) So he called these young women "nappy headed hos"? I'm not the least bit familiar with Imus, but Wow. That's just plain crude. I don't care WHAT the context was. Never saw him or listened to him. Guess I won't get the chance now, will I?

What an eyeroller. Good catch, GM. The political gamesmanship is to be expected, but Hillary is really pretty shameless.
