GM's Corner Is Back On The Air (well, back on the internet at least)
Every once in a while, you meet someone via the blogosphere that just seems to be someone really special. Such a person is Cinnamon Stillwell, a columnist for SFGate and whom I posted on in the post immediately below this one. At any rate, we have emailed back and forth and I asked her if she would be interested in being my guest for GM's Corner on Wide Awakes Radio. And, she consented to do so (see, even people in Califorina can be exceedingly nice - not just my brother and Kender and Rick Calvert (The Real Ugly American) and...
So, be sure and tune in via www.wideawakesradio.com or by clicking my own little mic logo in the upper right hand corner of your favorite blog (love me or hate me, you know I'm your favorite). This promises to be an exciting hour and one that I am looking forward to for sure. Tune in for a great hour of internet radio. That's this coming Thursday night (9:00 PM Central Standard Time) December 7, 2006.
Her post, to which I referred below concerns the increasing incidence of "Mob Rule On Campuses" and shows just how low we as a society have sunk when we tolerate this assault on the First Amendment. A sample:
While academia has its own crimes to atone for, it's the students who have become the bullies as of late. A disturbing number seem to feel that theirs is an inviolate world to which no one of differing opinion need apply. As a result, everything from pie throwing to disrupting speeches to attacks on speakers has become commonplace.Read the rest and be sure and drop by for an hour of stimulating conversation. Posted by GM Roper at December 1, 2006 09:05 PM | TrackBack"Conservative speakers have long been the targets of such illiberal treatment. The violent reception given to Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, an anti-illegal immigration group, at Columbia University in October is a recent example. Gilchrist had been invited to speak by the Columbia University College Republicans, but was prevented from doing so by an unruly mob of students. What could have been mere heckling descended into yelling, screaming, kicking and punching, culminating in the rushing of the stage and Gilchrist being shuttled off by security."
Maybe it is just me. Seems, however, from all the way back to the mid-1960s to present that the Left have used tactics that are more like the Brown Shirts than civil exchanges of reasoned questions and answers. umanity making ANYgress in its' quest for advancement? Sure doesn't seem like it.
Few really listen. Few really read...and if they read it is mostly bumper sticker type tracts. Few read opposing views. Hardly anyone, including the press, does much real research to get closer to the hard to pin down - Truth.
Why? Are we lazy? Do we just want simplistic answers? Are we too ready to blame those who we are predisposed to hate?
I seems that way to me.
BTW: If you think Peace Advocates are peaceful, next time you see a demonstration of them going on, attempt to quietly engage them in conversation and challenge, politely, their "facts". I recommend you be ready to either: sprint away quickly, or be prepared for physical assault. So much for "Peace Advocates."

Anything, such as this rude behavior by the Left, is routine for people who have no moral compass, and, as a result, such people with no moral compass come up with off-base philosophies and solutions that ignore morals and are disrespectful to individuals. Why should we be expected to accept the views of people who act like screaming kids in a kindergarten and know about as much?

One more thing.... Another site reviewed a book titled "How The Left Was Won - An In-Depth Analysis of the Tools and Methodologies Used by Liberals to Undermine Society and Disrupt the Social Order."
The reviewer summarizes the book as follows: "This book is about the various methods the Left employs to try and transform society into their vision of a socialist utopia." Then, he goes into some details:
C. Gradual revolution: infiltrate, Co-opt, Subvert:
1. Infiltrate the State: elective & appointed office; judgeships
2. Infiltrate the military: enlist & subvert from within
3. Infiltrate justice: undermine and discredit state constitutions
4. Infiltrate education: professors & administrators
5. Infiltrate & discredit religion: scoundrels as clergymen
6. Register, then license, then confiscate all privately held weapons
D. Form or infiltrate international organizations to promote goals such as "global understanding," "economic development," "transfer of resources"
Of course, we recognize C-4 in this.
Here's the link, and it's worth a look.

Check out this late news:
Speaker driven off by hecklers
By Valerie Richardson
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
December 2, 2006
"A speech by Rep. Tom Tancredo at Michigan State University turned ugly Thursday night as protesters pulled fire alarms, spat at the audience and fought with the event's student organizers.
"About 15 demonstrators began chanting and arguing with members of the audience before Mr. Tancredo's speech. Shortly before the Colorado Republican and opponent of illegal entry was scheduled to take the stage, a fire alarm went off, forcing campus security to evacuate the building.
"Outside, protesters punched and spat on Kyle Bristow, chairman of Young Americans for Freedom, which sponsored the event along with the College Republicans. Another student, Mike Wolin, said his camera was destroyed by a demonstrator, who threw it against a wall.
"'Cameras got smashed, people got hit, and all of the people opposed to the event were giving speeches, calling us racists and bigots, saying that MSU is no place for Tom Tancredo,' said Tyler Whitney, a member of Young Americans for Freedom.
"After security reopened the building, another fire alarm went off almost immediately after Mr. Tancredo took the stage. This time, the congressman was allowed to speak, but protesters disrupted his remarks with booing and shouting.
"'He tried to continue, but it got so loud that people couldn't hear him,' said Mr. Whitney. 'People were shouting, making rude remarks. It got really frustrating.'
"Mr. Tancredo, who agreed to speak free of charge, was forced to cut his speech short and had to forgo answering questions from the audience.
"Afterward, student organizers met at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. When they finished, they discovered that someone had slashed the tires on two of their cars."

Ah, yes. Freedom of Speech....for me, but not for thee.
They are either mentally addled nitwits (aka "useful idiots") or very dangerous folk who are amoral and will do most anything to achieve their goals....the merits be damned.

Time for some billion dollar lawsuits against the universities. Take them to Federal Court to prevent the dimmi lackie judges from getting hold of them. That may not work either since a lot of the so called Federal judges are a joke. Do I have any respect for the Judicary system in America, no, none. I would screw them over in any way if given the chance.
