Valerie "Plame Nuts" [Updated]

This should be good. Valerie Plame is suing V.P. Dick Cheney, Presidential advisor Karl Rove, and others saying that they ruined her career by leaking her identity as a CIA employee. The law suit can be found at The Smoking Gun. Hey, Valerie, while you're at it, sue your husband Joe Wilson, too, because of this report from National Review:

So if Novak did not reveal that Valerie Plame was a secret agent, who did? The evidence strongly suggests it was none other than Joe Wilson himself.

Was she even a covert agent? Was she outed? After an exhaustive investigation, special counsel Pat Fitzgerald hedged his answer in a press conference:

Let me say two things. Number one, I am not speaking to whether or not Valerie Wilson was covert. And anything I say is not intended to say anything beyond this: that she was a CIA officer from January 1st, 2002, forward. I will confirm that her association with the CIA was classified at that time through July 2003. And all I'll say is that, look, we have not made any allegation that Mr. Libby knowingly, intentionally outed a covert agent.

Her $2.5 million book deal didn't work out, so she may have found some lawyer's name from a television ad to help her manufacture a claim. Maybe the lawyer can go for whiplash after Plame's head gets snapped so fast after the lawsuit is tossed out. For someone who pretended to want anonymity, she sure likes the public spotlight.

But, if her and her husband's name is new to you, then you can learn more from "Who's Who" beginning in 1999, during Clinton's presidency. Wow! How secret can that be?

Valerie Plame doesn't sound like a secret agent. She just sounds like another shrill Democrat after a fast buck, some fame, and hatred for the Bush administration. Maybe she and Cindy Sheehan should have coffee together some time--after the hunger strike is over, of course.

[Update]

What a bad break for Plame...Wilson and Plame drew Judge John D. Bates -- and a quick glance at his rulings will no doubt have the Left fuming.

Woody, I respectfully must diagree with your last sentence. Under Cindy's idiosyncratic definition of a hunger strike, coffee is just fine for her...if it comes mixed with a little vanilla ice cream. (Via Redstate)

On the other hand, it you want to read about a real hunger strike for freedom by a real patriot, involving real sacrifice and real consequences to oneself, look here

What a pleasant surprise! Welcome back from your sabatical, CT! I hope to hear some of your civility from time-to-time, as we really have missed it and can use it. You'r much calmer than I am at times.

Maybe a hunger strike for Sheehan is drinking SlimFast ala Tommy Lasorda or using Richard Simmons' Deal-a-Meal. You're right in that her fast is not worthy of being called that in light of the sacrifice of people like the one you linked.

Maybe Plame and Sheehan could visit at a joint book signing, because there won't be any crowds around to bother them.

Oh, I just came back from your Sheehan link, not realizing that it was different than the other link. Everyone should go read that at the Marxist site. It would seem to be a parody of Sheehan, but it's really her! Civil Truth, what were you doing hanging out there? Thanks for that moment of amusement.

Don't panic, Woody. I got to Cindy's posting from the Redstate article, via the hyperlink labeled In Cindy's own words.

"...look, we have not made any allegation that Mr. Libby knowingly, intentionally outed a covert agent."

And therein lies the rub. The statute clearly states that the "outing" has to be proven to be intentional. Nothing indicates that it was intentional. And now she's adding conspiracy to the charges. ha! Democrats love conspiracies.

1) President Bush utters the "sixteen words". "The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."
2) At a CIA meeting, they discuss the plausibility of those words. Valerie, being in that group, suggests Joe for the trip to "research" the allegations in Niger because he has had past diplomatic ties in Africa. (let's not interject here that Ms. Plame hates Bush and expects Joe to come back with with a vehement denial. No, we won't interject that.)
3) Joe comes back and says Bush is a liar and there was no such deal. No uranium deal was made in Niger. (Valeria is really turned on now)
4) Everyone on the left ignores that that isn't what Bush said. He didn't say, didn't even imply, that Saddam bought uranium. As a matter of fact, even Joey doesn't deny that they were indeed seeking a uranium deal. Only that one was not actually made.
5) MSM ignores that fact.
6) Robert Novak says "Who is this clown and who sent him over there for this hogwashing?" His "sources" say that Joe's wife works for the CIA and submitted his name to the group for the trip." There is even indication that she was the one who suggested a trip was in order in the first place.
7) Novak prints her name.
8) Much hysteria ensues (or hilarity - depending on where you're looking at it from)
9) Joe and Valerie become apoplectic with - "How dare they read Vanity Fair?"
10) They wait until just before the mid-terms, just as Joe wrote his smelly op-ed piece just before the '04 election (nope; no coincidence there) to file a suit charging there was a grand conspiracy to besmirch them and their careers of besmirching others.

Does that about sum it up?

Excellent, Oyster!

Okay so Joe's piece was in '03 not '04. Ooops.
