Proof of Global COOLING
From Jim Treacher writing at The Daily Gut comes this photo:
AND the information that the word ALGOR is LATIN for "Cold"
algor, algoris N (3rd) M [XXXCO]Of course, I knew that all along. Posted by GM Roper at March 29, 2007 07:51 AM | TrackBack
cold, coldness; chilliness; a fit of shivering; cold weather (pl.)
G.M., obviously you've forgotten that global warming worshippers even claim that global cooling and snow result from global warming. There was even that stupid movie about an ice age that resulted from global warming, and there are people who believe that as much as those who believe Al Gore's powerpoint presentation.
What do you want to bet that not one person in that group of protestors above is a weather or climate scientist? These protestors are marching not knowing the science but understanding the consequences to our capitalist economy.

Of course global warming is real, it's happening right now, before our very eyes...
Oh, wait, it's just Spring in Texas...
Sorry, my bad, the real warming starts next month...
I have had to cut the grass for 2 weeks in a row now, I think I'm gonna hire a 'guest worker' and let them sweat it out this summer...

Is global warming behind all of this pollen and turning our cars yellow?

Climate change is a more accurate term for what is happening.

Moose, the terminology from the left was changed to "climate change" when the evidence of global warming, their n-going claim, turned out to have holes. So, do we have both gobal warming and global cooling occuring at the same time because of mankind's emissions of CO2?

Locally there will be great variations in temperature and rainfall. Some areas may have colder winters than normal or maybe wetter summers or some such, but still the over all trend will be one of warming and many areas will face drought. If I had the money I'd invest in some land that had a good creek and pond on it. And I'd buy a good tractor too. Subsistence farming is going to be where it's at in the mid to late 21st century.

moose, if subsistence farming were a possible consequence of climate change, everyone would be on board with doing something - anything. random things. - to avoid it. Even the worst possible scenarios do not include such things. At mid-21st C, even under the most alarming scenarios, flooding of coastal areas is the worst we will see.
That would admittedly be catastrophic to some vulnerable areas, as people try and migrate to higher ground where there might not be jobs. At the moment, however, those people have more to fear from environmentalist-assisted malaria.

It's not just global warming that will lead to this situation. There's also "Peak Oil" to think about. Life in the latter half of the 21st century is going to be less like the Jetsons and more like the Waltons. Which may not be such a bad thing.

The only scenario that will create such a thing is technology amok, such as nuclear explosion or nanoparticle decomposition.
Just no chance otherwise. I can see why thinking so would lead to some very different political positions, however. It's not your reasoning that I fault, but your data.

GM,
Sorry but I couldn't find your email on the page.
It my be my using Netscape, but all the right handed blocks on the side come up as extended all the way left into the web page so the texts of your posts are mostly, totally, unreadable.
Oh, today here in New England we had rain, snow, and now sleet and slush on the roads. Rain again tomorrow. Where is Al Gore?
