Global Warming Fun Time
Just something to put things in perspective about those who panic over mankind's contribution to global warming and its immediate consequences....
"The evidence is pretty clear that the Earth's climate is changing dramatically, and in this NASA research we see a specific consequence of that change."

The argument goes back and forth about global warming and, despite Al Gore's claim that the debate is over, there are plenty of scientists and plenty of the public who disagree and who are not willing to waste money on another dubious and Earth-threatening disaster waiting to happen, whether it's gw, population explosion, new ice age, Y2K, plagues, nuclear war, asteroid impact, and whatever the Left can dream up to panic over and throw money (not theirs) at.
Honest scientists will concede that there is some global warming occuring but will dispute that the primary cause is from mankind and dispute the possible problems and expensive cures. Even the scientists in the article that you quoted stopped short of concluding that mankind is responsible.
What's pathetic is that politically active scientists, whose terms should be mutually exclusive, go to great lengths to attack the reputations and motives of those who express doubts, and they try to shut-up any discussion. Such arrogance by the gw activists, combined with their obvious discomfort of possibly being wrong, makes me believe that their claims are based on what's politically popular, economically rewarding to them personally, and short on proof--especially since climate models cannot be constructed with short-term observations and data. Your side wants to pick-and-choose their short-term intervals for measurement, giving false trends and resulting in false conclusions.
What happened to this year's hurricane season that Al Gore and Company said would be increasingly worse? They give no honest answers but only ignore such facts or rationalize them.

There's no back and forth. It's measured and real. Testable. What you mockers do is exactly that: pick and chose, selectively quote and fallaciously over generalize while ignoring relevant data: CO2 is a climate forcer. Water vapor is not. CO2 is rising to 380 ppm in this century. Global mean temperature is up one degree Celsius and climbing. NASA is an authority on this and you are not. Appeal to appropriate authority says it is you that are incorrect. Deal with it.

GW, I'm waiting for the proof--not anecdotal tales of retreating glaciers or hurricanes. Tell me where there is solid proof on global warming being caused by mankind and that its effect will approach the flooded cities in Al Gore's fiction film. You know. It really doesn't exist. All this is still theory trying to pushed on us a fact so that government can have a bigger role over business and have another crisis to cure for us. Waste your own money. Not mine.

Your money isn't in play nor is mine. It's on the shoulders of General Motors and the utility companies. Then I suppose you're for dirty air too so whay you want isn't in play either. In other words your selfishness and blindness is irelevant and factless. A meter a century is a lot of expensive real estate. You've been shown the proff many times and by the top scientiists in the field. They endorse Gore's movie based on fact and their expertise. Just because you won't accept something doesn't make it untrue. It just means you're stubborn and blind. Hey that Ostrich just left its hole. Vacancy? Next!

Anecdotal? Satellite photos over 100 years don't lie. They show what it is, or maybe they were faked and we didn't land on the Moon after all? I mean who knows?

All aboard the Swiftboat! Out of the picture that is, and what good news it is.

Sorry gang that link didn't fly. What no cows and methane cause yet. You're falling behind.

GW, you're a little presumptuous to assume that the "overwhelming majority" is right on this.

Read and back up your work. Who says and why? Giv eme 500 words with links that show beyond any doubt I'm wrong. Hint: you as a layman knowing nothing stating an opinion doesn't count. It is "overwhelming" even if I didn't say it in those words. The experts back me up. Pony up or shut up.
