Eating Their Own
My friend Jeremayakovka has written one of the best essay's on revenge, the palistinian brouhaha, and "eating their children." This is a must read. Go there, read, comeback and comment. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

All my life, I have been hearing about peace in the Middle East. It's not going to come about precisely because of the mindset of the Pseudostinians.
Good find, GM.

There are several layers of thought in JMK's post and I'm certain that I have not grasped all his arguments. In part, however, he seems to highlight the power of revenge. The jihadis know the power of revenge, but do we in the West?
I can't help but wonder if JMK mistakes the thirst for revenge with the righteous quest for justice. Perhaps I'm naive but, in the long term, I don't think revenge works as a motivation for most Westerners, especially Americans. We tire in the pursuit of revenge but can be tenacious in pursuing justice if we feel it has not been served. To the extent that some were motivated by revenge after 9/11, perhaps that explains why they have tired of war. As an American who wants to see justice and democracy prevail, I have not tired in the least.

hmm, that gives cause to pause.
(btw, I haven't grasped all my "arguments"!)
