GOTV!!!

Dear Readers,

I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but it really doesn’t matter what the hell the pundits say, conservative or liberal pundits. It really doesn’t matter what the polls say. It only matters that we get out the vote. There are more right thinking Americans out there than there are liberals; more right thinking Americans out there than pollsters and pundits. We need them out there voting Republican. GOTV!!!!

Every post I make between now and close of voting on tuesday needs to be on the reasons why the Democrats will destroy our way of life, and why the Republicans, though they have not done what they said all the time, are the only ones capable of fighting the war on terrorists, balancing the budget and keeping the tax cuts as well as nominating and confirming judges who think like we do. GOTV!!!!!

The Republic is in more danger today than it was on September 10th and that is because we know for certain that the Democrats will raise taxes, cut and run in Iraq and pass legislation that will cost us and our children and our grandchildren more than we can possibly imagine. If you love this country as I do, and I KNOW that you do, GOTV!!!!

Thanks.

"Democrats will destroy our way of life"

You're really going around the bend on this one. That's the POV of a raving lunatic.

Posted by reg at November 5, 2006 05:41 PM

reg, don't act naive about Democrats destroying our way of life. The left has engaged in culture wars against traditional Americans for decades--taking over schools for indoctrination centers of our kids, making it legal to kill unborn children, attacking western civilization as the enemy of the world and taking studies of it out of our universities, attacking Christianity and removing every symbol of religion from public view as any picture of baby Jesus drives the Left insane, attacking capitalism, undermining U.S. military strength, replacing racial justice with affirmative action, wanting 20% of our economy to fight imaginary global warming monsters, spreading envy and hate against those who succeed, trying to dilute our American heritage with illegal aliens by the millions and giving them the right to vote, replacing legislative intent with activist judges who rely on left-wing agendas and international law over our Constitution, etc., etc., etc. A Democrat today would look at one from the 1950's and hate him for his values. The Democrats have lost all moral bearings and will drag our country down a socialist, big-government controlled, low-freedom, anti-individual society. They've been doing it and they want to do it more. GM has the point of view of a raving lunatic?? Maybe we'll all become raving lunatics if the Left and the Democrats have their unopposed way at revising America to their image rather than the one fought for and given to us by our ancestors. Who's the one who is mad here?

reg, sometimes you cease to be amusing and just become tendentious. As a frequent user of hyperbole, you ought to be able to recognize it when you see it.

Your POV is so filled with hyperbole you typically have difficulty recognizing reality.

I also note, as has Oyster, David, AVI and others that you are so filled with what Dr. Sanity lables narcissistic rage that you felt compelled to use one sentence out of the entire post. But this statement "...we know for certain that the Democrats will raise taxes, cut and run in Iraq and pass legislation that will cost us and our children and our grandchildren more than we can possibly imagine," you didn't deny at all. So, I must assume that you agree with the statement.

As Woody says, who is the one who is mad here? Not me or Woody, and in your case, mad obvioulsy has a double meaning.

That's one of the longest bits of hyperbole I've ever seen. "removing every symbol of religion from public view as any picture of baby Jesus drives the Left insane" has to be the high point of that remarkable tirade agains the evil Democrats.

GMR - I'll give that you were engaging in hyperbole and I was obviously tweaking you for going over the top. But your comrade seems to truly be a full-blown psycho...his rambling posts and hysterical responses to my comments are increasingly reminiscent of a scene from the Exorcist with the head spinning, the eyes bulging and sulphurous spew spilling forth.

Incidentally, the notion that we are in more danger from a Democratic congressional victory than from what happened on September 11th is, in fact, testimony to just how pathological your political POV is. That's hyperbole that barely masks a pretty vile partisanship. I'm sure you can rationalize it, but its putrid and you can't even begin to back that garbage up with anything resembling rational argument.

That's it for me on these threads. This has been a remarkably unpleasant experience.

Posted by reg at November 5, 2006 11:40 PM

reg, oh please. Is that all you can say? If you would like, we can analyze your extremely numerous, raving, hysterical, profanity laced, personal attack screeds against me over at Marc Coopers for the last two years. Believe me, my comments are much more rational and on point than those of yours.

Regarding removing religious symbols, wouldn't you agree that the membership of the ACLU is almost entirely that of Democrats, including many in high places? Democrats hate it when someone points our their transparencies.

Reg will be back, he's just going off to sulk for a while because he sees dumb people. And for some strange reason, he can't understand why he doesn't get a warm welcome everytime he calls people names and insults their intelligence. He reads a generalized statement, takes personal offense and with surgical precision proceeds to insult everything about you personally except your grandmother.

And *he* has found the experience to be unpleasant? I suppose he figures he's been a paragon of civility and reason.

Although I'm embarrassed to prolong this, but for the record - since Oyster is sounding his single lame note again - in this particular episode, I made a comment here that didn't contain any charges about anyone being stupid but objected to a guy who pretty openly expressed nostalgia for the days when only "educated" white, propertied males were allowed to vote (The quote: "It's different now in our enlightened age. Today we all have the right to vote no matter how uneducated we are. That's real progress!" - which is obviously - and particularly in the context of the entire piece - an expression of disgust at our "real progress") - and Woody responded out of the gate with this:

"If stupid (and uninformed) people couldn't vote, Democrats would have to actually explain the details and logic of their programs"

So shove your little song and dance about my launching into accusations about the stupidity of people who don't disagree with me. It's lame and dishonest. But do I think Woody's a problem child who's analytically challenged ? Yes. Because his counter-arguments consist mostly of childish recycled scattershot broadsides laced with bigotry and wild generalizations, and contemptuous of anything or anybody liberal. It's not the kind of response that makes one want to do anything other than join in the food fight. And frankly, I'm better at this than he is so he's playing fast and loose with the wrong guy.

Posted by reg at November 6, 2006 07:57 AM

Sorry...my stupid, but it's "who don't AGREE with me" not "disagree" in that last paragraph.

Posted by reg at November 6, 2006 08:04 AM

Told ya!

Posted by Oyster at November 6, 2006 09:04 AM

reg is better at food fights? I guess I'll have to concede that.
