Refreshingly Undiplomatic
"What they need to do it to get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this sh*t."
...................George W. Bush, not realizing that a mic was picking up his words to Tony Blair, Prime Minister of England.
A tip 'O The GM Derby to Katheryn Jean Lopez of NRO's "The Corner"
Okay, that reminds me of a joke by, I think, Leno. I'll have to paraphrase:
When John Kerry said something embarrassing, not realizing that his mic was on, his advisors decided to hire a guy whose sole job was to make sure Kerry's mic wasn't on until it should be. They hired the same guy whose job it was to keep an eye on Clinton's fly.

Personally, I'd have enjoyed it more if he'd given 'em a real good blistering cussin' -old Texas style. My daddy is from Texas, and when he gets going, the air boils over his head and his scorn will burn the leaves off the trees around him.
In true "international" style, Reuters had this story up this morning, under the headline "Bush Curses Hezbollah" - not like we'd have expected anything better from them, though.

The suspicion is circulating that George was well aware the mic was on, and it was a planned "mistake."
Fine with me.
