Joke of the Week!
I cheerfully stole this joke from Ric Ottaiano who blogs at Release the Hounds. Thanks Rick, you have permission to steal any of my jokes too.
Abu al-Zarqawi died.George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates. He slapped him across the face and yelled, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive and fought so hard for!"
Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed!"
James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!"
Thomas Jefferson was next, beat al-Zarqawi with a long cane and snarled, "It was Evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence."
The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason, James Monroe, and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the terrorist leader.
As al-Zarqawi lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared.
Al-Zarqawi wept and said, "This is not what you promised me."
The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in Heaven. What did you think I said?"

G.M., now my pay is a joke!
Your misfire on the post reminds me of another joke.
There was a new guy at a prison and he would hear people yell out numbers and everyone would laugh. Someone would yell 15, and there would be laughs. Another person would yell 34, and howls were everywhere. When the new guy asked what that meant, one prisoner said that they had memorized all the jokes so each just called out its number to tell it. The new guy wanted to join in and asked what was a good joke. The other prisoner told him that 37 was really good. So, the new guy yelled out "37!"...but, no one laughed. He asked why and the other prisoner said, "You didn't tell it right."

Hey! I'm not under thirty. How dare you insult me. ;-) Even my kids aren't under thirty. I've worked long and hard to get to this age (no, I'm not saying what that is).
