''We won't stop the protests until the world obeys Islamic law.''
Mark Steyn gets it right. When will the West learn and when we do learn what will we do about it? Read the whole thing.

Sobering stuff. Yet the West keeps making concesisons, i.e., allowing Islamification so as not to offend Muslim sensitivities. But the fact is the Muslims will remain offended until the entire world is Dar al-Islam.
The lack of coverage of murders by Muslims in France is dangerous--very dangerous. People won't know the extent of the threat until the threat personally touches them.

I first went to Paris in 1961. The police and troops were everywhere. We were told not to use the Metro as the Algerians threw plastique (bombs) there. The issue, of course, was that the Arab majority in Algeria wanted the French to leave and they could take over their own country.
Fast forward a bit. Charles De Gaulle let them have it, much to the professional army's dismay.
Fast forward a lot. The last time I was in Paris (at one of the five train stations), one would not know what country one was in by looking at the people and their attire. All those folks from former French colonies got their "countries" back. That didn't turn out too well. So, they moved.......yep, to France.
Same deal in the UK, the Netherlands...though I don't get Denmark, Norway, etc. They did the Viking deal, but that was a very long time ago.
So, the folks get their countries back, but don't know how to run them (or just will not) correctly, so the move to better countries with more amenities. Once there, they demand the society they have joined should change to meet their demands....WHICH DON'T WORK BACK HOME.
Is this loopy, or what?
Even more loopy is anyone allowing it.

Ya know, to me, that looks like a declaration of WAR... "We won't stop until"... I don't know, maybe it's just me and my cynical old self but I damn sure think we have a fight on our hands... Life or death fight..

Looks like the West needs to take Parenting 102 as well. In particular, you can't be a good parent if your primary ambition is to be your child's friend - especially if you try to gain friendship through appeasement. Too many parent fall down that rat hole, usually resulting with out-of-control children and disastrous consequences.
In the case of Islamic extremists, the consequence of appeasement will be all-out war on a scale unpredented in human history, or the surrender of the West politically. It would seem a no-brainer to keep the children under control, except that standing one's ground will lead to tantrums and being hated. "Broad is the way that leads to death..."; since the beginning of time, the broad way, the path of appeasement, always at first seems to be easier. The further along that path you go, the harder it is to turn back, until at some point, there is no return.
