The beloved red-headed bride (of 7 years) and I will be taking a cruise in the very near future for a much deserved and really needed vacation with just the two of us on a romantic Caribbean cruise. To keep from disappointing my beloved readers (all 6 of you, you know who you are) I have engaged the services of a very good internet friend whom I've never met, but whom I've grown to admire over many months.

Woody McNair will be filling in for me while I am gone, and will be posting interesting and thought provoking articles. Woody is a CPA, conservative, articulate and an all around nice guy. And I know that you will enjoy his posts. I've admired Woody's comments on other blogs over a period of time and I know he will do an excellent job. I'll be here still for the next 8 days, but while I'm cruising, I'll be thinking of you, my loyal readers and I'll rest easy knowing you are in good hands with Woody.

Cheers

GM, Have a good cruise, however, I hear that there is still ein Kapitan mit his Unterseeboot in the Caribbean. You may have to repel boarders. Cutlasses will be provided by the Cruise Director.

While you at it, when you have dinner with the Captain of your cruise ship, think about this. He is the guy with grey hair, but tall, tanned, the body of a much younger man, a great dancer and a terrific conversationalist all wrapped up in a very natty uniform. He is NOT the real Captain. The real guy is squinty eye'd. His face is wrinkled beyong belief (all those hours on the bridge and on the weather decks). He may be short and dumpy. Probably is bald. This is much like we pick our politicians...in some sense. It is about packaging vice substance. Go ahead! Ask the good looking "Captain" if he's the real deal or not. Maybe to avoid trouble get a book on navigation and oceans of the world and have your questions ready.

BTW, have a great time. I hope you have fair winds and following seas. That is a nautical quote used by U.S. Navy and Marine Corps folks vice Bon Voyage.

Yeaaaa Woooodyyyyy!!!!

Ahem. Sorry GM -- my enthusiasm got carried away with me for a moment.

Um . . .do you need a caddy, red cap, or a drinking companion on the after-deck?
