CHENEYS TAX REFUND OF $1.9MILLION...
OMG... That's more than I make in a Decade.... (two decades?) Sounds outregeous doesn't it. But Michael Turner at Curouser and Curiouser does a great breakdown of the story and thumps the MSSM (Main Stream Shifty Media) right on the noggin.
Oh my goodness. They actually paid their taxes, donated nearly $7 million to charity, overpaid their withholding and estimated taxes, and applied for a refund. Just like you or I would. I think I like the Cheneys' giving spirit. And I despise the media's shallow attempts to cast aspersions on a husband and wife who donate 3/4 of their income to charity."
Good job Michael!

Reminded my of this post on the Generoristy Index at Michelle Malkin's blog. Conservative and Liberals seem to have a very different of generosity with the liberals adhering to the giving someone else your money philosophy.

Any liberals who object to others getting refunds are welcome to donate their own to the government.
Do you know the significance of their reaction?
Liberals believe that ALL the money that YOU EARN belongs to the government, and that the government graciously allows you to keep some of it.
What a perverted view of our system of government....

Proud of the Cheney family generosity and the tax refund is probably well earned - Woody says it well.
Yet, VP Cheney has always made me nervous. Bells went off for me during the debate with Edwards when he was so adamant that he had never met John Edwards before (photos of him sitting right next to Edwards appeared the next day) AND he gave the wrong URL for some personal dealings - the URL went to an "enemy camp." Just about anytime something comes up questionable and glaring from Whitehouse central - his name is attached.

I have sat next to thousands of people I have never met.
What does that have to do with Dick and Linda Cheney's huge generosity?

Has nothing to do with Dick and Linda Cheney's generosity. Our VP just keeps sliding in "gifts" to the MSM. YES - no one can remember everyone they've sat next to. BUT - you should have some one run photo history for you (his staff) before you become so adamant. AND when you offer the URL for the "other side" - things look a little shaky. Just two of many examples - there are many - some you know well. CARE is required where ever Vice President Dick Cheney sits!
