Dear Mr. Hooper - You Gotta Be Kidding Me!
Every once in a while, you will pick up a newspaper, either the dead tree version or perhaps an online version and an article will catch your eye. Every once in a while, a friend will send you an email with a link and a story that seemingly defies description. Such was an email from my good friend R.H.Potfry from The Nose On Your Face. Potfry and his partner Buckley F. Williams recently were the subject (in a round about way) of a Guardian article about their now famous Islamic Rage Boy and the so called "original" IRB. Now, ordinarily I would have read the article and said "Atta-boy" to my friends at TNOYF, wish I had that kind of fame. Ahhh, but 'twas not to be. For I espied a blurb by none other than that apologist for all things muslim Abraham Ibrahim Hooper.
It seems that Mr. Hooper has not only debated the good folk at TNOYF (here) but according to the article noted above Mr. Hooper is upset because:
The intention of the cartoon is, [Williams] claims, to open up debate. "Muslim fanaticism is the problem, not Muslims. Islam is not coming across, to the average person, as a friendly or inviting religion. There must be many Muslims who don't like what's going on, but we're not hearing it."A spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Ibrahim Hooper, is unconvinced. Mr Hooper says: "I find the term Islamic Rage Boy offensive, as would anyone who applied the term to their own faith. It's an Islamophobic product by Muslim-bashers on internet hate sites."
He compares the cartoon to the anti-semitic imagery of 1930s Nazi Germany. "The cartoon is part of an overall growth of anti-Muslim rhetoric in this country. Someone is trying to link Islam with violence and anger and profiting from it."
Mr. Hooper, from MEMRI comes this little tidbit:
On April 2, 2007, the group Iraqi militant group "The Arrows of God" posted a second video, in which it issued a 10-day extension to its ultimatum to the government of Germany [or it will kill the two hostages] [comment added].You don't suspect that the "God" these folk are referring to is the same God of the Jews do you?
So, Mr. Hooper thinks the IRB is offensive? Islamophobic? Savage anti-semitic imagery of the 1930s Nazis? You mean like these from Muslim/Arabic sources Mr. Hooper?
Mr. Hooper, you need to get off the "Islamophobia" kick and see what muslims are doing in the name of Allah and see if the rest of us don't have reason to have just a little bit of anger towards you and those you support. When you blast the terrorists, the rabid demonstrators and their ilk as loudly as you blast anyone that says even a tiny word against Islam then and only then might you be seen to have some credibility. Until then, all you have is an awful lot of chutzpah.
So, let us raise a glass of strong Iced Tea and L'Chayim Mr. Hooper, L'Chayim!
Oh, and Mr. Hooper, since Jews are also "People of the Book" maligned by your fellow Muslims, we thought you might be willing to show a little solidarity with them. Hmmmmm?
Oh my, who would ever think that there was a link between Islam and violence? I mean aside from anyone who has been paying attention at any time since Mohammed began converting the world by the sword? Or anyone, like myself, who knew a victim of their terror. If they don't like the link they need to stop whining about it and get their insane killers under control.
Nice Job George!

a phobia is an unreasonable fear...
All I see of muzzies is people screaming for the heads of infidels and so called moderate muslims keeping quiet...
I believe my fear of muzzies is completely reasonable.

The fact of the matter is that he will keep spewing his propaganda as long as MSM outlets give him a forum. And given that Islam has become the sole protected religion here in the U.S., that is not going to change anytime soon.

Hooper: Someone is trying to link Islam with violence and anger...
Oh, that's rich! One doesn't have to try to make the link. It's there for all to see.
Why do the media keep giving Hooper so much attention? CAIR's membership is quite low--and dropping.

Great post, George --
This is something a whole lot of people, not least our elected leaders, need to get a handle on:
These animals believe that since they are doing the work of Mohammed the Pedophile, anything they say about or do to anyone who doesn't belong to the satanic cult called Islam is fine -- it is their scriptural mission to defame and butcher. Anyone who dares disparage them (including warning others by telling the truth about Islam) or otherwise defending onesself against Muslim terrorism is committing a blasphemous transgression against their dubious religion. As far as they're concerned, our holy duty is to allow them to murder us without presenting them with any complications.
To that end, most of our politicians and the media seem to have fallen in line rather nicely (from the point of view of Ibraham Hooper and friends).
