An Indictment of PC
Jeff, writing at A Little More To The Right notes that the British Foreign Office has capitulated to the islamo-fascists:
Cabinet ministers have been told by the Foreign Office to drop the phrase ‘war on terror’ and other terms seen as liable to anger British Muslims and increase tensions more broadly in the Islamic world. This seems like a sad day in England, and, as Jeff notes:The shift marks a turning point in British political thinking about the strategy against extremism and underlines the growing gulf between the British and American approaches to the continuing problem of radical Islamic militancy. [Guardian]
Rooted by American liberals and led by liberals worldwide, western civilizations around the world are voluntarily capitulating, waving truce flags, to Islamofascism. The technique used by Mohammadans is as centuries-old as the culture their system oppresses their people with - brute force, the edge of the sword. Allah’s mandate to them is to overcome the world through savage bloodshed. We know it, we’ve seen it, it’s history.Read the whole post (especially the comments) then come back and comment.Yet the loudest voices in society - liberal idiots - drive appeasement policy through their gestapo tactics of name-calling and their incredible success through character assassination to back away from the fight.

gestapo tactics of name-calling
Yes, indeed. Hitler's greatest weapon was not his panzer divisions, the luftwaffe or the V-2 rocket but in fact was his ability to say mean things about other people.

Those "mean things" he said served to rouse enough Germans to fight and any opposition to take a back seat. Seemed to be pretty effective, if you ask me.

Nobody on the left, neither individually or collectively, has that kind of power. And even in Hitler's case, it takes more than rhetoric to make a menace of yourself.
I just thought it was kind of weird that this Jeff guy made the Nazi allegation in the first place. I just should have said "I hereby invoke Godwin's Law" and declared the thread closed. ;)

Moose, regardless of what you call it, "gestapo tactics," disruptive tactics, etc., etc., the fact is that if you disagree with the PC set, you are called names such as fascist, wingnut, islamo-phobe, racist, etc. Jeff, and others are quite free to respond to this "tactic" regardless of what you call it. And if you think, for even one minute, that the left doesn't have this kind of power, I refer you to this article

I've decided that most American and European liberals are willing to rely on other people to meet their needs: Problems with bullies? Let the educators or police handle it. Need health care answers or more food? See the State agency in charge of free food and mandated health care. Don't like the way someone treats you? File a lawsuit. As a result, why shouldn't they also believe that someone, somewhere will take care of the Islamofascist threat so they don't have to? I just hope there are enough of us left to do that someday.
