CAIR Holds Forth: Nobody Listens!
From CNS News:
A former Muslim chaplain at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp who was accused of espionage and aiding the enemy before being cleared in 2004, said the prison remains a "potent symbol" for questioning the U.S. commitment to human rights and should be closed."If we close Guantanamo it would be a great first step," James Yee said at a Capitol Hill news conference Tuesday sponsored by the Council for American Islamic Relations."
Gee, you think Yee might have an ulterior motive such as a CAIR push? Nah, CAIR wouldn't do that would they? I mean, after all, their title comes from AMERICAN-ISLAMIC Relations... Equally American, right?
Full Disclosure: I think CAIR is far more concerned with Islamic superiority than ever it was about relationships with America or Americans. But, that is just my opinion. What is yours?
A tip 'O The GM Derby to Espella Humanzee
UPDATE: For a more thourough Fisking of these idjits (CAIR that is) go here Jihad Watch has done a search on the condemnation of killing Israeli civilians by CAIR... The results will not surprise you in the least!
Posted by GM Roper at June 29, 2006 07:53 AM | TrackBackOkay, you asked so I'll tell you what I think. I think CAIR is interested in doing what every Middle East government does to their citizens; convincing them that they're victims. That they're not responsible for anything. That everything is someone else's fault. That they're being subjugated and exploited by outside forces. And our government and our media is complicit in perpetuating that. Why else would NBC (was it NBC?) go out of their way to plant overtly Islamic people in NASCAR crowds to gauge public "reaction"? Why would our government continue to treat CAIR as a legitimate group interested only in American/Islamic "relations" when it's obvious that they are merely presenting a preconceived notion about those "relations" with little or no empirical evidence to prove it?
Do I think there are Islamophobes out there. Of course there are, but show me clear cut cases of it - cases where rights are curbed and people are abused or exploited - and prove to me that it's rampant before you use it as a basis for all your actions.
That's what I think.

Wow, Oyster. You left me very little to say.
OK, I got it! CAIR is subversive. Kind of like the Muslim version of the ACLU.

The site freemuslims.org also thinks that CAIR is an enemy to Muslims. And they're Muslims!
