What Took So Long?
...but, appeals still exist.
Follow the history of leftist professor Ward Churchill from The Denver Channel in its story (excerpts below) through chronolgical links under that which start in January, 2005.
The University of Colorado announced Monday that it will dismiss controversial professor Ward Churchill."Today, I issued to Professor Churchill a notice of intent to dismiss him from his faculty position at the University of Colorado Boulder," CU Interim Chancellor Phil DiStefano said Monday afternoon.
Churchill, who ignited a firestorm by calling some of the World Trade Center victims "little Eichmanns" in an essay he wrote after Sept. 11, 2001, has vowed to sue the school if he was fired.
How many chances of lying and insubordination would your employer give you? It's about time that he got kicked off of the reservation.

Although that might be a step up.

Think he'll employ the ACLU for his lawsuit? Not that I need another reason to be disgusted with the ACLU or anything....

It depends on what you believe your business's core mission to be. We would like to think that a University's core mission would be education of some sort. But attracting notoriety is an important tactic in paying the bills. Ward Churchill just got too arrogant with the claims to be a Native American, which is too much notoriety for an up-and-coming college.
The "little Eichmann's" were more likely a plus for the PR department.

As I recall, Ward Churchill, was (is):
1. Not really a Native-American
2. Does not have a doctorate
3. Gained his position by "working" the system.
He is an awful man and worthy being thrown up on the dustbin of history as something less than a footnote.
