I just returned from a Christmas visit with my daughter and her husband, a Marine Recruiter. They are making mission despite:

Too many parents who think they "kids" are still babies.

Too many young males being action game players, but not real world "players".

Too many young males have made bad choices (where were their parents?) as young teens (and younger) drugs, drinking, run ins with the law.

Too many young males and females being, uh, well, just not too bright, e.g. not being able to pass the written tests.

Too many being so far out of physical condition that they cannot qualify.

Well, despite all the above, my son-in-law is getting patriots to serve our country. And, I wish I was seventeen again...I'd would enlist in a minute. Not idle chatter, this.
