That was excellent commentary.
Having grown up close to a family with a Down Syndrome child named Joe, I can say that he was far more loving and caring than his "normal" siblings. Joe could never even learn enough to write his name, but rather than complicate the lives around him, he brought a new perspective and lots of laughter. We loved him unconditionally.
