I went to the article. I don't see anything extraordinary about it. Conservatives are engaged in a debate among themselves as to what paths they and the Republican Party should take--which may not always be the same. There are different forums for that, and Bartlett has chosen one that best forwards his ideas and enhances his own financial interests. His employer may have seen a conflict of interests. This is the same as other reporters who switch publications and networks regularly.
The discussions of differences within the conservative movement is healthy and represents that the right has ideas and is debating them. The left, on the other hand, has no ideas and no vision for this country--only hate, criticism, and wishes for destruction of what the right builds. The cartoon that G.M. posted illustrates that well.
