New Blog In Town
I have been corresponding with a friend of a friend recently. My new friend, HB is a retired Marine which makes him automatically OK in my book with any other vet and Retired Military. At any rate, Tad, my first friend introduced HB and I via the internet and he has been commenting on this blog regularly. Recently, HB started a new blog and it absolutely is a keeper. Go read, enjoy and put it in your bookmarks. I did.
HB has posted The Sergeant Major--A Sea Story which confirms my suspicion that HB is in definate need of therapy as he notes in his intro posting. Be that as it may, this story confirms also that there is an elite group of men and women in this world and they are all members of the U.S. Military Establishment.
Thanks for giving us a new reading outlet HB. Welcome to the blogosphere.
Posted by GM Roper at March 24, 2005 12:02 PM | TrackBackBe assured that HB is the REAL DEAL. Met a lot of Marines in my time and he is in the vanguard. This is saying quite a lot. Because while the Marines do have their share of knaves and blackguards...most Marines are truly the best. So, to be in the vanguard of the vanguard, so to speak, is more than just "spin" or phony compliment. And, in addition to being a smart and dedicated Marine, he has a sense of humor that is near epic in its' proportions.
Read his blog and enjoy.

GM, HB is the real deal. Of very many Marines I've been honored to meet, he is truly in the vanguard. Not only very bright and very hard working, he has a sense of humor that will leave even the coldest heart in a state of hilarity. Stand by for more from him and read at every opportunity.

GM. Neither HB or Tad would solicite this observation from me, but BOTH are "the REAL DEAL". I was honored to serve under their leadership. They're exceptional men and outstanding Marines.
