Who Said It?

Here are a number of quotes from the last century. Can you figure out who said what. Write down your answers, Don't google the answers and click on "read more to find the answers.

I knew that they were RR...and I knew the last was JFK...which threw me off for a second.

Did anyone note that the Navy has commissioned an attack sub (SSN) the USS JIMMY CARTER? I wonder why? Would this be like the Brits naming a ship the HMS NEVILLE CHAMBERLIN? Maybe the Navy will not load any torps aboard.
