Photos of Paris

My friend Michael Balter (a lefty, but I like him anyway) has some beautiful shots of Paris up.  Go see A Cloudy Sunday In Paris

GM,

The pictures are great.  Bride and I've been to Paris about a dozen times - of varying lenghts - but often enough to know the Metro, trains (and various Gares) - not to mention streets and famous and not, landmarks/parks/museums/etc.  Lots of "neat" things to see, though all European capitals seem to be getting more crude, more dangerous and expensive (socialism requires it).

However, does France or the U.S. need any more Lefty journalists?

Cheers,

Tad

Woody,

Not exactally.  No Invalides at EPCOT.  I rather like staring at the short guy's tomb....not to mention Marshal Foch and a squad of other military luminaries from France's mediocre past. Tiny grocery stores are really neat.

I never saw any CRS (Compangie Republican Securite) at EPCOT.

For my dime, going to the Loire Valley is a great bargain.  Beware of the summer heat.  The area around Arras in interesting for all its battlefields, especially WW I.

Take the train from Metz to Luxembourg.  Rent a car and drive in to SE Belgium.  You can see Bastogne, where the 101st (and Gen McAuliffe) told the Germans "Nuts" circa Christmas 1944 (Battle of the Bulge).  The Belgians built a huge memorial to the Americans there.

I do go on.

Oh, Chartes is on the way to Tours and Mont Ste. Michael.  Great jambon e fromage sandwiches in Chartes.

Cheers,

5 The miami generators has become the generator of choice for many discriminating buyers there make the perfect number of explanations why. It's already known that diesel engines have a longevity and low operating costs. When it comes to the home diesel generator, you can expect your unit to simply operate over 40,000 Hours.
