Fox news is reporting now that a college professor has assigned his class to write an anti-Palin paper. More as this breaks.
UPDATE: Change the title to Mild Dyspepsia on Campus... The "Professor" (professing progressive ideals no doubt) merely wanted the students to write criticisms of Sarahcuda.

Psyberwolfe is correct. Even in college kids can see through this liberal claptrap. The smarter ones can in High School. Do the work, get your ticket punched, then vote, think, read, write, eat, drink and pray any way you please.
People really aren't that impressionable at that stage.

This is really an example of undoing education. Let us take bright minds, and make them dim. Any teacher worth his or her salt will attempt to broaden perspectives, rather than to confine them to a peculiar notion. I would challenge my students to support a proposition … a simple statement expounding a point of view, and then require that they research and support the statement through facts and elaboration. Afterwards, I would require them to develop an opposing view and support it the same way. It was an interesting exercise … and it did help students achieve this understanding: there is always more than one factually supported point of view. As for this professor … I would agree with MBP’s solution if it also resulted in the professor finding a more suitable vocation. Bowling pinsetter comes to mind.
