A campaign is really playing the race card when it brings up slavery from over 150 years ago--and tries to pin it on Sen. McCain today.
Lillie McCain, 56, a professor of psychology in Flint, Michigan, traces her lineage from two of more than 120 black slaves before the end of the Civil War at Teoc, the Mississippi plantation owned by the family of Republican nominee John McCain's great-great-grandfather.
"I think that since we can't undo what has been done, that the most effective thing for us to do is figure out how to put things in perspective and go from there. ..."I am absolutely supporting Obama, and it's not because he's black," said Lillie. "It's because he is the best person at this time in our history."
To undo the damage of the McCain ancestors, it could be only a matter of time until Senator President Obama openly supports reparations, in one form or another, for blacks today. Maybe we should tell Sen. Obama that President Lincoln was a Republican.
BTW, Barack Obama's ancestors may have been from African tribes that defeated other tribes and sold their prisoners into slavery for profit. Just maybe, so let's blame him for that.

Well, this is an election year, so truth doesn’t really matter. I say, “go ahead and blame him.”

Hey GM and Woody since you guys are so into anti Obama polemics, I'm wondering what your thoughts are about this, fiery and IMHO very relevant critiqe of Obama the candidate as well as Obamaism. Here

That's a lot to read, Ahmed. Could you give us the executive version? Right now, I'm preparing tax returns and later tonight will watch the Auburn-West Virginia game and the World Series. My schedule is quite full.
Anyway, I've heard that Obama's administration will be a continuation of Jimmy Carter's. Do you want to know what I think of that?

It's a brillaint read Woody, especially helpful for you two since you've got particularly odd sets of ideas about what the "left" is about. It's probably much harsher on Obama (and many times more astute) than anything coming from your quaters.

I don't know, Jim. Many black politicians repaid their base with "their turn" at the taxpayer trough. Keep in mind that I live in the Atlanta area and have seen the likes of commie Congressman Cynthia McKinney and crooked and convicted Mayor Bill Campbell in action.
Obama doesn't call target spending "reparations." He uses other names, like "investment."
"I think the reparation we need right here in South Carolina is investment, for example in our schools. ...We've got to understand that there are corridors of shame all across the country."
It's not as if we haven't wasted enough money on the war on poverty in our "corridor of shame." These "investments" usually end up being cash cows to worthless social workers, who haven't done much in the past with what they were given.
Look for one big welfare state with the funds sucked out of our defense and from the taxpayers.

You have time to read when Alabama is playing Tennessee this weekend?!? Well, maybe if you skip church Sunday you can squeeze it in.

Race Card? Sharing the Wealth? Obama in 1995: White executives don't want to pay taxes so that "inner city children" can go to schools.
