Listening to Prozac Obama

On a liberal blog, a week or two ago,  a commenter stated that he was tired of hearing Obama described as an "Empty Suit."  Wow, I noted that he didn't say that Obama WASN'T an empty suit, just that he was tired of hearing it.

Well, isn't that just special! I'm tired of hearing the Obamabots describe him as the next best thing, the best thing since sliced bread, the healer, the promised one (remember "We are the ones we have been waiting for!") and other superlatives.  In fact, I've never seen, in 48 years of political awareness anyone with less of a resume to run on then the Obamamessiah.

And I'm not calling him that out of any belief on my part, I mean, after all the only thing lacking here is the Roman Catholic Church elevating him.  The MSM has certainly done so.  Complete with photographs of a light/halo around his head and other indications of his so called divinity.  Before Obama all the Democrats, most of the Republicans and certainly most of the MSM believed that Hillary was the one, but they really didn't want another Bill Clinton presidency which is exactly what Hillary's election would have been (and if you think brother Bill would not have made sure he was the number one advisor and caller of shots political you are out of your mind.)  Yet, here we are with a pedantic, ostentatious, empty suit with a better than even chance at winning the November election.  How did we come to this pass?  How did someone with a huge truckload of charisma but zero experience on the national stage (not counting the 143+ days he was in the Senate before running and damn little since then) get so far along that he is not laughed off of the stage?  (Oh, wait; he was laughed off of the stage when he put up that ridiculous pseudo-presidential seal).

Yet, there remains a great deal to the empty suit, charm, charm, charm.  Unfortunately, when it comes to dealing with America's enemies charm just won't cut it.  Does Obama really think (and to be honest, I'm afraid that he does) that he can fool all of the people all of the time?

The number of people who have signed-on to the idea that Mr. Obama represents a moderate political position discourages me.  He is as moderate as Pelosi is patriotic.  Among these people are Jewish Americans who steadfastly refuse to acknowledge the danger an Obama presidency poses to the State of Israel and progress in Middle Eastern politics.  People who are fussing about the price of domestic oil continue to support a man who will not approve domestic drilling, erecting wind generators, or increase nuclear energy plants.  People who inform pollsters that the economy is their number-one concern continue to support a man who has done nothing but promise an increase in taxes to support socialist programs.  People who think we are in the midst of a health-care crisis rally to a man who will guarantee amnesty to illegal aliens … that group of people who are driving up the cost of medical services.  I do not think John McCain represents our nation’s best or brightest, but my vote for McCain will assure one less vote for Obama.  If the American people do elect Obama, they will deserve an Obama presidency … and it will be far worse than that abortion we refer to as the Carter Administration.

This form over substance nonsense of Obama's can only last so long.

Obama Faking It

Obama has a problem: What do you do when you're a lightly accomplished one-term senator...?  Pose, of course.  What else can a guy like Obama do?  ...NBC's Andrea Mitchell was the one journalist with the courage to name what she was actually seeing happen: Obama faking even being interviewed by the press.

Poor John McCain. He's so last-century. Still living in a world in which deeds matter, policies matter, what you would actually do with the power entrusted to you matters.

Off the subject, but we probably won't see many liberals posting today.  They'll be out celebrating and spending the $0.70 per hour minimum wage increase that they get today.

Dear GM, yep, "Just don't want to hear it!" Great line. The same thing happened to me on Youtube. Yeah, big 'effing surprise. They said "How dare you call Obama an empty politician!" Yes, it's an outrage to question an er, politician who wants to be...President?!

Dopey bleeders. No Quality Control, you see. Colonel Neville.
