Proof We're a Racist Nation

Black Man Given Nation's Worst Job

WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation's broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, "It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can't catch a break."

Too funny our hard earned tax money once went to support Joe the Plummer when he was on welfare!

2 Ahmed, I have a number of thoughts, but, first, explain to me why you think it's funny that Joe the Plumber had temporary needs and accepted help offered by the government to everyone in his situation. Should he have turned it down or is it just funny that he was hurting?

3 So, Ahmed, assuming you endorese Colmes attack on a former welfare recipient, we can also assume that you are endorsing the vile and nasty let alone elitist comments below the video. Shame on you sir!

4 The irony is that Joe the Plummer, who we're only talking about because of an idiotic instant celebrity culture we're caught in, whines about higher taxes waxes hyperbole about socialistic government programs but he himself when down and out relied on the very government support he purports to attack. I personally believe that we should look after one another, that we are our brothers keepers and that government has a role in fostering an environment which creates the conditions for dignity and fairness for all. I believe that Bill Clintons welfare reform was part and parcel of a larger attack on the social security of all Americans. The problem is that Joe the Plummer is so damn hypocritical about this. It's handouts for others, but okay for him. Hey, Ropes I've got some choice word for you in the other thread, do check them out.

Ahmed: ...(Joe) himself when down and out relied on the very government support he purports to attack. ...The problem is that Joe the Plummer is so damn hypocritical about this. It's handouts for others, but okay for him.

Ahmed, you have completely misunderstood Joe's past and position. But, first, it's extremely pathetic that you would attack a private citizen, who some extremist have even demanded his death. For what? Please explain the left's preoccupation and hatred for this man. Is that an example of your compassion and desire for dignity and fairness? You laugh at his past difficulties.

Joe benefited for a temporary period from a government program for which he had been paying for others but never demanded for himself--but decided to accept since it was offered. I don't like a lot of government programs and their taxes, but, once in place, I'll use them just as everyone else does. I might as well get something for my money that everyone else is taking...as did Joe. The welfare that Joe obtained is supposed to be a bridge between jobs and that is how he used it--not as a permanent handout as many believe.

Joe, unlike lazy liberals, has a dream. He wants to own a business, be successful, and earn money for his family without the government taking it and giving it away to others who didn't lift a finger for it and have no defined needs.

Joe saw through Obama's promises, and Obama confirmed his suspicions with the "share the wealth" statement. Joe is wary of "sharing the wealth."

Obama's plan is wealth redistribution, pure and simple, where he takes from some taxpayers to give to people who don't have special needs; i.e., a vote buying scheme from people with no principles or shame. Obama will write checks to people who have jobs but don't pay taxes.

So, tell me what Joe did wrong to incur your laughter at his past indignities, which should be private. Tell me what was wrong with his question, because, if a private citizen can't ask a question of Obama without nationwide attacks from the left, then Obama's revolution is not one of democracy. That's what I suspect.

For what it's worth, I don't hate Joe and wish him no harm. On the other hand, I don't take him seriously and find his new found fame to be a representation of a kind of noxious celebrity culture best representing by reality tv. The fact that the McCain/Palin elevated him to the point where he campaigned with them, is, IMHO, simply testimony to the hallowness of the repub ticket.

Ahmed: wish (Joe) no harm

Ahmed, you rejoice in the investigations into Joe, his failings, and his hurt.

It's quite hillarious to see Woody, a man who shows no shame posting the most crass links (like the one of Obama shining that idiot Palind shoe), now pretend to be a sentamentalist, caring aboutthe falings and hurt of others. In the wake of a well deserved defeat you guys are becoming too funny

9 Joe the Plumber is a private citizen. Obama chose to run for President and accept public scrutiny. It's pretty sad that you can't see the difference.

Posted by: Woody at Monday, November 10 2008 01:36 PM (Eb/8J)

10 I've heard rumoyrs that Joe the Plummer is planning to write a book. Regardless, he has already appeared in a number of TV chat sessions and was wisked around political rallies as a prop by McCain and Palin. Hardly the activities of a private citizen. If anything your beef is with the McCain ticket who elevated this man into somne kind of rugged every day person, in a desperate attempt to go after Obama. I've already critiqued the create a celebrity culture, of which creates the condiotions whereby Joe the Plummer becomes needlessly famous.

Ahmed, Joe the Plumber was private until the press sent hordes of investigators to look into him and Obama backers used the State computers to dig up whatever dirt they could find. Once "exposed," why shouldn't he have helped McCain at that point?

ou forget that Joe did nothing and that it was Obama who made the error and that it was the left that hated and attacked Joe for no good reason--just like you do.

Most Comfortable Sandal - I love this shoe - it may not be stylish or sexy but it is very, very comfortable. I have a very narrow foot & was worried that is would be too wide but it fits great & very adjustable. I bought the tennis shoe style after but don't like it near as much.
I just took my MBT Kisumu for my first long walk, GREAT. I Wholesale'>http://www.ohnike.com/Air-Jordan-18-Retro-c68/">Wholesale Air Jordan 18 Retrohave severe chronic low back pain and all my MDs want me to walk rather than riding a bike, so I had started walking but continue to have new severe problems with metatarsal pain in both feet. After I finished my walk today, no metatarsal pain, GREAT. These shoes are worth every penny, they just seem to make me want to walk. And the Zappos staff was very helpful when I had to return a pair because they were too big and I got a smaller size. They look great and feel great. As some other reviewers said they could use a little more arch support. I also really like the velcro and the snap buckle so that once I get the tightness I like with the velcro; I can just use the snap buckle to put them on. Wow, thanks so much. I really really like these shoes and am going to order another pair so that I'll have an extra pair if something happens to these. Aloha.
Pamper your Feet - Comfortable, great fit, excellent support, it's like walking on air. Best Shoes Ever! I have had my MBT for 5 months. My knees do not hurt while I wear them. They do on the days when it's too cold for an open toe shoe. Love these shoes.

16 Best walking sandal ever! My first pair of MBTs -- bought these at a local store two years ago when I finally needed to replace an old faithful pair of worn-out Mephistos. The salesman suggested I try these, saying they were the absolute best walking shoe they sold, and I was skeptical but figured I had nothing to lose by trying them on...well, my jaw dropped as soon as they went on my feet. I could literally feel my posture shifting as balancing on the rocker soles made me stand up straighter. I walked out of the store wearing them, with my old shoes in the bag -- the effect was so amazing that I didn't want to take them off. I've bought more MBTs since (hooray for Zappos, their pricing and color/style selection are better than any of my local stores) and absolutely cannot say enough good things about them. I can walk and stand all day in these on even the most unforgiving hard surfaces -- while I don't haveAir'>http://www.ohnike.com/Air-Jordan-17-Retro-c67/">Air Jordan 17 Retro Wholesale from China any of the painful back, foot, or knee conditions some reviewers do, after two years of MBTs I've found that wearing other shoes leave me with just so much more in the way of minor back/leg/foot aches and pains and tiredness at the end of the day, while MBTs leave me bouncing and ready for more. Interestingly, I do tend to underpronate and have weak ankles that I used to twist and sprain on a regular basis -- but just from looking at the wear patterns on the soles, the MBTs have noticeably reduced how much I underpronate, and the only times I've twisted my ankle in the last two years have been when I've been wearing non-MBT shoes!
