Not that this is surprising....
From Beirut, Chawki Freiha reports on a provocative editorial that appeared in the Al Quds Al Arabi newspaper on November 3 written by Abdelbari Atwan, the first journalist to have met with Osama bin Laden. Titled "Obama's Historic Intifada," Atwan praises the probable election of Barack Obama to the White House and claims that with Obama installed in Washington, Islam will be able to “impose its point of view” on the world.
If past experience is any guide, ACORN has probably registered Atwan to vote, too--in some swing state.

"Al-Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming election," said a commentary posted Monday on the extremist Web site al-Hesbah, which is closely linked to the terrorist group. It said the Arizona Republican would continue the "failing march of his predecessor," President Bush...
...It further suggested that a terrorist strike might swing the election to McCain and guarantee an expansion of U.S. military commitments in the Islamic world.
"It will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaeda," said the posting, attributed to Muhammad Haafid, a longtime contributor to the password-protected site. "Al-Qaeda then will succeed in exhausting America."

James, I'm not aware of anything that I said that isn't the truth, unless it was obviously said in jest.
Ahmed, don't go away. It's nice to have another liberal around to tell us how stupid we are.
Moose, in your example, Al-Qaeda is resorting to reverse psychology to get people to vote for Obgama.
