My good friend and fellow Conservative John Moore has an excellent post up that I'm reprinting in its entirety because it needs to be read.

Plans for Lawfare against Anti-terror Warriors

Sat November 15th, 2008 14:01 MST

A group of lawyers and others are planning a shocking abuse of the US legal system in order to harrass and harm Bush and member of his administration, and others, for their actions in the “War on Terror”

The methods they advocate include widespread abuse of the system - abuse which would allow any group with support among some officials at various levels of government, and foreign governments, to persecute and harrass anyone in what can only be described as a fascist manner. Ironically, they claim to advocate the “rule of law.’ This is the “tyranny by law,” and would set a democracy-destroying precedent.

The proposals include:

  • Impeachment of Bush and Cheney. If necessary, after they leave office!
  • Impeachment of a federal judge for writing a memo that enabled “torture”
  • Local, State, and federal prosecutions such as the Brattleboro, Vermont, ordinance that calls for the arrest on sight of Bush and/or Cheney…
  • Charge Bush and Cheney with murder of U.S. soldiers who have died in the Iraq and Afghanistan war under state law.
  • Use of common law courts … as a means to turn “revisionist international law theory” by asserting international humanitarian and human rights law violations as common law in state courts prosecutions.
  • Having citizens file charges with the police in various countries
  • Foreign and International Prosecution
  • Complaints to licensing boards for professionals who assisted the government

Sickening Comparisons Continue

If a comparison with FDR is supposed to be a compliment of "The Chosen One," it had the reverse reaction in me.

With Obama at the wheel instead of in back, why not compare him to Morgan Freeman in "Driving Miss Daisy," except he may drive us over a cliff.

Liberals as Dumb Today as in Grammar School

Liberals recently bombarded us with bad things that they read about Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber.  Among the claims they had, on authority, were that Gov. Palin thought that Africa was a country and that Joe the Plumber was a relative of Charles Keating.  Ha ha!...and Dan Quayle can't spell potato.  Oh, they are soooo brilliant!  Well, I'm here on better authority to tell them that they were duped, which is not hard to believe since Obama duped them, too.

Here are the "corrections."

A Senior Fellow at the Institute of Nonexistence (Selections)

It was among the juicier post-election recriminations: Fox News Channel quoted an unnamed McCain campaign figure as saying that Sarah Palin did not know that Africa was a continent.

Who would say such a thing? On Monday the answer popped up on a blog and popped out of the mouth of David Shuster, an MSNBC anchor. “Turns out it was Martin Eisenstadt, a McCain policy adviser, who has come forward today to identify himself as the source of the leaks,” Mr. Shuster said.

Trouble is, Martin Eisenstadt doesn’t exist. His blog does, but it’s a put-on. The think tank where he is a senior fellow — the Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy — is just a Web site. The TV clips of him on YouTube are fakes.

And the claim of credit for the Africa anecdote is just the latest ruse by Eisenstadt, who turns out to be a very elaborate hoax that has been going on for months. MSNBC, which quickly corrected the mistake, has plenty of company in being taken in by an Eisenstadt hoax, including The New Republic and The Los Angeles Times.

Now a pair of obscure filmmakers say they created Martin Eisenstadt to help them pitch a TV show based on the character.

The pranksters behind Eisenstadt acknowledge that he was not, through them, the anonymous source of the Palin leak to falsely claim that he was the leaker....

Mr. Gorlin and Mr. Mirvish say the blame lies not with them but with shoddiness in the traditional news media and especially the blogosphere.

In July, after the McCain campaign compared Senator Barack Obama to Paris Hilton, the Eisenstadt blog said “the phone was burning off the hook” at McCain headquarters, with angry calls from Ms. Hilton’s grandfather and others. A Los Angeles Times political blog, among others, retold the story, citing Eisenstadt by name and linking to his blog.

Last month Eisenstadt blogged that Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, Joe the Plumber, was closely related to Charles Keating, the disgraced former savings and loan chief. It wasn’t true, but other bloggers ran with it.

These liberals remind me of the smart alec kids in grammar school who waved their hands wildly to have the teacher choose them for the answer to a problem (Ooh, ooh, Teacher, pick me, pick me!)--and, then, get it wrong.  It's still funny.

Liberals Feeling Good with Liberal Charities

Liberals feel good spending other people's money for social causes.  How do they spend their own money for "charities?"

NY Post Reviews 10 Celebrity Charities and Finds Eyebrow-Raising Business Practices

The New York Post reports that George Clooney, Bono, Wyclef Jean, Petra Nemcova and a half-dozen other celebrities have founded charities that have some eyebrow-raising business practices.

Jean's charity to help Haitians has allegedly failed to file tax returns for eight years. Bono's mega-foundation is reported to have chartered a plane to Africa and bought tickets for a U2 concert.  Poker lover George Clooney allegedly took donations from a dubious online card-games company. And Giant Super Bowl hero Osi Umenyiora is reported to have dropped the ball when it comes to even registering his charity to benefit Africa and research into Alzheimer's disease.

Below are the 10 celebrity charities that raised red flags, according to a Post examination of federal tax forms and other records, and the alleged shorcomings: (Link to article).

Sure, the money is wasted on questionable causes, but liberal donors "feel good," and that's what matters.

On the other hand, they want us to "feel patriotic" by paying higher taxes.  Is there a way that I can feel patriotic with their money, or does it not work that way?

Help Obama Set Priorities [Updated]

As Obama forms his "ruling" team and prepares to take office, the people who supported Obama want to help him set priorities.  From one site accepting votes on this comes the below ranking, as of this writing.

Do you remember the big deal about having universal health care?  Pretty important, huh?  Well, look at what they ranked in importance right above that.

In President Obama’s first 100 days, he needs to:

  1. Invest in clean energy and create 5 million new green jobs
  2. Responsible, Phased Withdrawal of Troops in Iraq (16 months)
  3. Kill the PATRIOT Act
  4. Prosecute criminals in Bush administration
  5. Enact quality, affordable health care for all
  6. Shut down Guantanamo
  7. Restore, Uphold, and Defend the Constitution
  8. Raise Minimum Wage to a Living Wage
  9. End corporate welfare
  10. Stop domestic surveillance

It's amazing how much energy leftists spend in hating Bush, even to the point of ranking his prosecution above life itself.

If you have the stomach for it, you can read the rest of their priorities at the site, too.  Pick out your favorite.  Mine is "Eliminate the IRS!"  I can always find other work.  At least it would keep Obama from raising taxes.

What would you want Obama to do--besides quit?

[Update] - Yep.  The Democrats got their marching orders from the left and are moving ahead on a high priority issue.  They're going to live in a hate-filled past forever, which is not change but what we've come to expect from them.

Make Me Puke

Sorry for that heading, but you might forgive me after reading the first sentence of a TIME article on Barack Obama.

Some princes are born in palaces. Some are born in mangers. But a few are born in the imagination, out of scraps of history and hope.

I wonder if the Kennedy's will accept another "royal family."  Plus, Christ is pushed aside for the "Chosen One."

Remember Democrat Scares of a Republican Draft?

The Democrats scared kids in past elections by claiming that Republicans would draft them into serving our nation.  How times have changed.  Now, the Democrats want to draft kids into "civil defense service" or "community service" (a racist code word, btw) -- and compensation may not be part of the formula.  We're already seeing forced volunteerism in colleges under the name of "service learning."

How would you or your kids like to be forced into an involutary national or community service plan--one set up by Obama?  Maybe you would even get to "donate" your time to ACORN!  It's wrong, in my eyes, even if there is compensaton.  Well, Obama is pushing it, although specifics are disappearing from his website as we read.  Here's some insight from an interview with Obama chief of staff Emanuel.

Rahm Emanuel On Compulsory Service Plan

SMITH: I meant to ask you about the universal service piece of the plan.  Can you tell me about it how is this going to work?  Are people going to live in barracks?

EMANUEL:  Universal Civil Defense Training…I think he had it at 18, but we thiinking  somewhere between the ages of 18 and 25, you will do three months of training.  You can do it in your(inaudible).  Some point in college you can do just that. There can be nothing wrong with all Americans having a joint similar experience.

I mentioned this a few days ago on a blog where I quit commenting a couple of years ago and pretend to not comment there now, because G.M. is supposed to shoot me if I do.  Here's the exchange, as it might have happened, had I really done it.

Obama Is Cozy With Hamas

If the U.S. media had investigated and published this information before the election, it would not have changed my vote.  I figured as much, anyway.

Hamas says its officials met Obama aides before U.S. election

The Arab daily Al-Hayat on Tuesday quoted a senior Hamas official as saying that United States President-elect Barack Obama's advisors met with members of the Palestinian militant group before the U.S. presidential election.

Al-Hayat reported that Yusuf also said the relations were maintained after Obama's electoral victory last Tuesday. He said the president-elect's advisors requested that the relations be kept secret so as not to aid his rival, Senator John McCain.

Obama said that he would meet with terrorists, but, at least, I thought he would wait until he was in office and take our side.

Some confirmation of Obama's position on the PLO - Almost 90 Percent of Muslims Voted for Obama.

It makes one wonder more what the LA Times is hiding in the video tape of Obama at a party for his friend and former Yasser Arafat spokesman Rashid Khalidi.

Other stories:  Arab Paper: 'Obama's Historic Intifada' Allows Islam to 'Impose its Point of View on World' and Al Qaeda wanted Republicans, Bush "humiliated"

But, Obama is not a Muslim.  Really.  He just plays one when not on tv.

The Fix Is In to "Select' Al Franken

Just like the Democrats did in the 2004 Washington state governor's race, in 2008 the Democrats in Minnesota keep coming up with overlooked votes to help Al Franken who, only for the time being, is behind Republican incumbent Norm Coleman in the vote count for U.S. Senator.

Minnesota Ripe for Election Fraud

Minnesota is becoming to 2008 politics what Florida was in 2000 or Washington State in 2004 -- a real mess. The outcome will determine whether Democrats get 58 members of the U.S. Senate, giving them an effective filibuster-proof vote on many issues.

When voters woke up on Wednesday morning after the election, Senator Norm Coleman led Al Franken by what seemed like a relatively comfortable 725 votes. By Wednesday night, that lead had shrunk to 477. By Thursday night, it was down to 336. By Friday, it was 239. Late Sunday night, the difference had gone down to just 221 -- a total change over 4 days of 504 votes.

Virtually all of Franken’s new votes came from just three out of 4130 precincts, and almost half the gain (246 votes) occurred in one precinct -- a heavily Democratic precinct....

The fix is in--not counting what ACORN has already done.  Will the Republicans have the will to fight this if Franken steals the election?  I doubt it.

Joplin Sings From Where-ever she is

When you think about it, Peggy Joseph must be sort of a piker... afterall, she only wished from Obama gas money and a mortage payment... J. Joplin (with a few minor corrections in red, below) had the better idea.  Too bad Joplin wasn't around to see Santa Clause elected!

Obama, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
S'obama won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Obama, won’t you buy me a color TV ?
Dialing For Dollars is trying to find me.
I wait for delivery each day until three,
S'obama, won’t you buy me a color TV ?

Obama, won’t you buy me a night on the town ?
I’m counting on you, Lord, please don’t let me down.
Prove that you love me and buy the next round,
Obama, won’t you buy me a night on the town ?

Obama, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
S'obama, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Philadelphia Police Arrest Man for Wearing a McCain-Palin T-Shirt

For all you liberals that love to come here and chastise Bush and Republicans for trampling on civil rights, what the f---1 have you got to say for yourselves now?

And I make no apologies for the curse word... just don't think that that give you permission to do so in the comments.

Proof We're a Racist Nation

Black Man Given Nation's Worst Job

WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation's broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, "It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can't catch a break."
